Friends of Amy Biehl was launched in the fall of 2009. Since then we have been able to raise money, share amazing stories, and ultimately, offer a platform that truly believes in forgiveness and restorative justice. In our short existence, we've heard from Amy's family, some of Amy's closest friends and former colleagues, interns, and hundreds of others like myself who simply believe in the foundation, its message, and purpose. Over the holidays, our first fundraiser raised over $500. We recently learned that our efforts helped develop several music classes, introduced a group of kids to Muai Thai kick boxing, and helped build a new ballet program beginning this February. Amazing!
Hearing from Kevin Chaplin, the foundations director, about how we had helped only motivated us to do more. This led us to our latest campaign - "Loose Change for Change". Friends of Amy Biehl has agreed to donate 5 cents for every visitor that stops by in 2010 in hopes of reaching our goal 10,000 visitors. We believe this offers everyone the opportunity to contribute, simply by visiting us and by sharing the website with others. For those who would like to contribute some loose change of their own, see how others are helping out below:
